Nursery - For infants through age 4 is available from 8:45 am to 12:30 pm for parents attending the 9:00 am or 11:15 am service.
Acolyte Guild - Serves at all Sunday services and participates in weddings, funerals, Evensong and other special services. Classes begin each fall for our youth, age 10 and older. Every other year acolytes enjoy attending the National Acolyte Festival in Washington, D.C.
Altar Guild - Members prepare the church for services and care for the silver, brass and linen items used by the priests in worship. New members are invited to become a part of this meaningful ministry.
Flower Guild - Members endeavor to keep the church decorated with flowers or greenery appropriate for services and holidays.
Bread Bakers - Bakers prepare home baked Altar Bread for the 9:00 Sunday Eucharist and for special services, as requested by the Clergy.
Chalice Bearers - Chalice Bearers are trained and licensed to assist the Clergy in Holy Communion by serving the blessed wine. This includes regular services, funerals and other special services. No experience is required. Training opportunities are available for those who wish to become a part of this ministry.
Change Ringers - Change Ringers are in charge of ringing the tower bells to call the community to worship. Each bell requires a separate person to ring it. Our band of faithful ringers would welcome additional members. They will provide training and support. Practice times are required. Please visit our Tower Bells page to learn more.
Lector/Lay Readers - Members read the lessons at each service, lead Prayers of the People at Sunday services and do other readings as directed by the priest. Many of the weekday services need readers, too. We also have several youth readers who read at the 9:00 service the first Sunday of each month.
Ushers - Members distribute the orders of service, assist with seating, carry the bread and wine to the altar, pass alms basins, record attendance numbers and make sure that pew areas are ready for the next service. We are in urgent need of more ushers.
Vergers - After leading the processional, the verger is expected to handle any oversight or problem occurring during the service. Vergers assist the clergy in directing servers, such as acolytes and chalice bearers in performing their ministries.
