Organ

The organ at St. James was built by Harrison & Harrison in Durham, England and was installed in 1999; it features three manual divisions and pedal. The two oak cases are based on a nineteenth-century English style with the Choir Organ on the south (pulpit) side and the remainder of the organ on the north side of the church. The voicing style combines clarity with English warmth to support vigorous congregational singing as well as traditional Anglican anthems sung by the choir. The organ has electro-pneumatic action with electric slide action and solid state couplers and combinations. The organ also features reeds voiced with a distinctly "romantic" flavor, a horizontally mounted copper Orchestral Trumpet in the north case, and a moveable console.
