Adult Christian Formation Committee - The committee works with the clergy and staff to provide Christian Education opportunities for children, youth, and adults in the parish. This group also organizes a Vacation Bible School every summer for children ages preschool through fifth grade.

C.A.F.E. (Couples & Family Episcopalians)

Bible Studies and Prayer Groups - St. James Church offers new ways of exploring spiritual life though study, prayer and fellowship by participation in several groups including a men's group and a women's group.

Catechumenate - An ancient practice of the church that forms and educates those people who seek after Christ and desire baptism. Our program is open to adults who desire to be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church. It is also open to the members who desire to reaffirm their own baptismal covenant.

Cursillo - A number of parishioners at St. James have participated in Cursillo (A Little Course In Christianity). The cursillistas of St. James gather on a periodic basis for ultreyas, palanca parties, and to encourage others to participate in the Cursillo movement. These cursillistas have formed small reunion groups that meet regularly. They also meet to welcome new cursillistas as well as those who are new to the area.

Daughters of the King - An Order for Episcopal lay-women who undertake a Rule of Prayer and a Rule of Service. Daughters of the King strive to support women in the parish in maintaining Christian perspectives while pursuing activities of daily life.

Education For Ministry (EFM) - EFM is a four-year course of intentional study developed by the School of Theology at the University of the South. Groups of individuals who seek a deeper understanding of scripture, church history, and theology meet once a week in three-hour sessions from September through May.

Prayer Support - St. James provides several ways to provide prayer support for healing. An intercessory prayer list is maintained to remember persons in the prayers of numerous intercessors and two of the worship services held at St. James each week. A separate telephone prayer chain is also available for crisis and emergency situations.

Intercessory Prayer Team - Each Sunday at 10 am, between the 9 am and 11 am services, members of the Intercessory Prayer Team are available in the chapel to pray for and with anyone who desires such prayer support. These intercessors also use this time to pray for those who have placed prayer requests in the Prayer Request Box, which is found near the Baptismal Font. Cards for such requests are found in the pews.

Intercessory Prayer Support - These people keep the Parish intercessory prayer list current for Clergy and the Prayer Team.

Library - The Library's mission is to support the programs of the parish and to provide individuals with materials for individual spiritual growth. Reference, printed and audio-visual materials are available for use in the Library or on circulation.

Saturday Morning Women's Book Group -

Youth Groups - St. James has three different groups to support the youth of the parish. Each group meets, on average, twice a month, and welcomes the help of parents and interested individuals.

The JAMers (Jesus And Me) group involves boys and girls in grades 3 through 5.

Middler EYC includes those youth in grades 6 through 8, and

Senior EYC is for those young people in grades 9 through 12.
