The Stewardship Committee has sent the following announcement regarding the 2022 stewardship campaign:
Gifts abound in our beautiful St. James community, especially this fall with the Rev. David Henson, our new rector, leading our spiritual journey.
“Every Perfect Gift” is our theme for the 2022 Stewardship Campaign now through Commitment Sunday, October 31. Through the reflections in the bulletin inserts and from our volunteer speakers at worship services these next weeks, we hope that you will consider each precious gift you have received, reflect on God’s abundance, look within your heart, and thoughtfully respond with a meaningful financial commitment for 2022.
Together, our offerings provide:
·Services and support to many in need, including partnering with other organizations so our impact is multiplied
·Clergy to nourish, guide and support us;
·A high-caliber music program that fulfills, lifts and enriches our spirits and souls;
·Deftly administered youth programs to guide our youth toward God and a life in the church;
·An exquisite sanctuary to rest in God’s presence and a fully equipped church facility that is lovingly maintained.
These are just a few of the many gifts we receive each year as a St. James community. Please help us maintain these pillars of support in the coming year with a pledge commitment. If you pledged last year, might you be able to increase it this coming year?
You will soon receive a letter and pledge card in the mail. Additionally, for your convenience a pledge card can be downloaded here. 2022 Pledge Card If you have questions about electronic funds transfers, appreciated common stock gifts, and/or giving directly from your IRA, please call the church's bookkeepers, Sharon or Rebecca, 828-694-6928.
From all on the Stewardship Committee (Ginny Faust, Elizabeth Henry, Mary Lance, Tom Marshall, Vicki Wright and Janet Doyle), thank you!
