OUTREACH COMMISSION SPONSORING “SOUPER SATURDAY” TO BENEFIT
If these crisp fall days have you wishing for homemade soup, you’re in luck. The Outreach Commission is hosting “Souper Saturday” on November 14th, featuring four delicious soups you may remember from the annual Gifts of Hope Holiday Fair. The fair had to be cancelled this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but this “soup for a donation” event is an easy, safe way to continue a fun St. James tradition. You will be able to order your soup ahead of time, make a donation, and drive through the parking lot for safe pickup!
The four soup varieties featured are Butternut Squash, Chicken Noodle, Italian Sausage, and Moroccan Red Lentil, all of which sell out year after year at the Gifts of Hope Holiday Fair. Soup will be prepared according to current guidelines for safe food handling and packaged in one-quart freezable plastic containers that are dishwasher safe.
DEADLINE FOR ORDERS IS NOVEMBER 1st. ONLY 100 QUARTS WILL BE SOLD!!
There is an order button below, but if you are not a “tech whiz” and prefer to order via phone or have any questions about how to order soup, call Licia Correll (828-674-2622) or Dorothy Fantle (828-606-5501).
Drive through pick up will be November 14th, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Soup will be distributed in the front of the church where we have been receiving drive-through communion. You will not need to get out of your car.
